Singing is such a powerful, rewarding and empowering thing to do. I am passionate about helping every student discover and develop their unique voice.

I have spent many years learning about voice, not just from my own singing career and from working with hundreds of students over nearly 30 years, but also from studying vocal pedagogy, the science behind how the voice works, the way the body moves and how each thing we do can help or hinder us. Whether you are just starting your singing journey, or have been singing for as long as you can remember, there are always things to learn, new ways of listening or feeling or understanding. That is what is so exciting and rewarding about singing: you never stop learning.

Who I Teach

  • Absolute beginners who want to explore their voice

  • More advanced students who want to reach new levels, perhaps preparing to perform in concerts, exams or auditions

  • Choir singers looking to build confidence

  • Returning singers rediscovering their love of music.

My lessons are relaxed, encouraging and tailored to you and your voice. We move at your pace, celebrate progress, and keep it fun as we explore, always finding the best way to express ourselves in song!

My Teaching Background
I have been teaching since the early 1990s and at Trinity School of John Whitgift for 23 years, where I taught and coached boys and girls  from Grade 1 through to Diploma level, as well as working with the trebles of Trinity Boys Choir, preparing them for opera, concert and recording opportunities across the UK, Europe and beyond. I have also taught for the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain and the Eton Choral Courses.

Alongside my professional work as a soprano, and my teaching, I am also an experienced coach, adjudicator, master class leader, and a fully qualified, DBS checked professional chaperone.
