John Eliot Gardiner's recording of Brahms' Requiem, recorded in the Usher Hall at the Edinburgh International Festival 2008, has received much acclaim: it was Gramophone Magazine Choice, BBC
Radio 3's CD Review Disc of the Week, and was nominated for a Gramophone Award.
Katharine Fuge was an excellent soloist on many occasions in Gardiner's Bach Cantata Pilgrimage. In this Brahms performance, in the gorgeous fifth movement, Ihr habt nun Traurigkeit, her singing once again gives a great deal of pleasure. The sound she makes is delicate and clear and I enjoyed her performance very much

Katharine Fuge’s account of Zerfliesse, mein Herze is heart-rending and meltingly beautiful. This is an elevated and eloquent piece of singing on her part Music Web International
