Katharine first started teaching in the early 1990's and, since then, has taught and coached students at all levels.  She is also on the teaching team of the National Youth Choirs Great Britain.


Since 2002, Katharine has been proud to teach the boys and girls at Trinity School, Croydon, and in particular the trebles of the world renowned Trinity Boys Choir who are regular visitors to Glyndebourne, and all the top opera houses and concert venues in London, and beyond.   Recent & current engagements include:


- Britten's The Turn of the Screw, 2 solo boys at Teatro

   Communale, Bologna, 1 solo boy Deutsche Oper Am Rhein,

   Dusseldorf, and 2 boys at the Konzerthaus, Vienna

- BBC2 film, Messiah at the Foundling Hospital

- Sir Neville Marriner's 80th Birthday Prom concert

- singing on the soundtrack of Disney's Maleficent

- The Glory of Christmas at the Royal Albert Hall

- 3 solo boys in Shellshock Requiem at La Monnaie, Brussels

   (world premiere)

- Britten's War Requiem at the Royal Albert Hall, Royal Choral Society

   & Bryn Terfel

Katharine firmly believes that, as a teacher, you never stop learning, and so she was determined to find out more when she first encountered the extraordinary work of Jo Estill while studying with Paul Farrington.   This has led to her current studies with Anne-Marie Speed to become a Certified Master Teacher of Estill Voice Training™.


Katharine is a member of the British Voice Association.
